We have all felt the impact of the pandemic and despite the challenges, many UK small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) selling online have grown their business. Over 60% of the sales on Amazon were from SMEs between March and July 2020. This shows how important Amazon is as a sales channel.
We have been working with a Greater Manchester-based business, Neon Candy, for the past few years who have 6 figure annual sales. They specialise in party wear, fancy dress and personalised items.
Our goal was to accelerate sales via Amazon Advertising. We have managed over 300 ads and advertising contributed to about 20% of the total sales.
What did we do?
Most of the products are seasonal products so, we created a seasonal advertising planner which allowed us to build campaigns on time and capitalise on sales when there is very high demand.
We also created a process-driven Amazon Advertising strategy that lays out all types of advertising for each group of products. This mix of campaigns would target keywords, competing products and categories.
Due to the nature of the product activating fast was the key so, we created campaigns on time and also optimised them regularly. We reported our activities on a fortnightly basis explaining the results and actions.
