Let’s be honest – most Amazon sellers look at Sponsored Brands Video and think, “That sounds brilliant, but I haven’t got a proper video yet.”  

So it sits on the to-do list for months while everyone waits for the perfect brand film that never quite gets made.

Here’s the good news: **you don’t need a creative production company**.  

A simple 15–30 second video, created in Canva using the same lifestyle photos and infographics you already have on your listing, is more than enough to get started.

Why bother at all?  

Because Sponsored Brands Video unlocks completely new ad placements (top-of-search video slots, product detail page video, etc.) that your other ads simply can’t reach. The sooner you launch, the sooner you start gathering data and sales.

Two easy ways to target – Keyword or ASIN

1. Keyword targeting

Nothing clever required. Just take the exact keywords that are already converting in your Sponsored Products auto campaigns or manual campaigns and drop them in.

2. ASIN targeting (the hidden gem)

Target your competitors’ ASINs directly. Amazon then looks at the search terms that are actually driving sales for those competing products and shows your video against them. In other words – keyword research from Amazon’s own data.

– Sponsored Brands Video – ASIN targeting → ROAS 8.40  

The difference in ROAS isn’t massive, but the ASIN version uncovered dozens of long-tail keywords we hadn’t even thought of. Some of them are now being moved into dedicated Sponsored Products exact-match campaigns.
