Amazon Tax Information Update – What You Need to Know

Amazon has recently been sending prompts to sellers, asking them to update their tax information. If you’ve received this request, here’s a simple guide to help you complete it correctly.

Key Details Amazon Is Asking For:

  • Citizen ID: Enter your National Insurance Number. This is required for individual verification.
  • Business Registration Number: Enter your UTR (Unique Taxpayer Reference).
  • VAT Details: Make sure the address you enter exactly matches the address on your VAT certificate. This is one of the most common reasons for rejection.

After submitting your VAT information, it often shows as “Pending”. If this happens, don’t worry — raise a case with Amazon Seller Support. They can usually speed up the review process.

It’s best to get this sorted as soon as possible to avoid any disruptions to your account. Double-check all information before submitting to prevent delays.
