Your Amazon Listing Has Been Deactivated – What to Do Next

Getting that email saying “Your listing has been deactivated” is never fun. It landed in our inbox just last week, and it’s a reminder that selling on Amazon always comes with surprises.

This time, the listing was taken down because of “raw material weight claims.” It had been fine for years, but Amazon suddenly started enforcing it. If your listing still mentions specific weight claims about raw materials, remove them right now before you get hit, too.

After several back-and-forth messages with support, we removed the claim in feature points and updated the price by just one cent (sometimes that small change helps push the update through). Because the listing was inactive, it took longer than usual for the changes to process. We then submitted clear before-and-after screenshots with timestamps as proof.

Just like that, the listing was reactivated. We were down for about 10 days, but sales immediately spiked once it went live again.

If you’re dealing with listing issues or want help staying ahead of Amazon’s changing rules, we’re here for you. As a full-service Amazon agency, we take care of the details so you can focus on growing your business.
