Never Accept Amazon Bulk-Buy Requests – Here’s Why

If Amazon sends you a bulk-buy request, you should reject it straight away.

Here’s the good news: even if you say no, Amazon will still order the same amount of stock over the coming weeks. The only difference is that you won’t have to give them a discount.

A Vendor Bulk-Buy request is when Amazon asks to buy a large quantity of your product upfront at a reduced price. It might sound tempting, but it almost always works in Amazon’s favour, not yours.

Because Amazon’s ordering is driven by real customer demand, rejecting the bulk buy doesn’t stop them from purchasing. You simply get to invoice them at full price instead of offering a discount.

Many suppliers worry about cash flow and think accepting the bulk buy helps them get paid faster. However, a much better option is to use Amazon’s Born To Run programme to bring forward extra purchase orders – while still invoicing at full price.

Our advice is simple: Never accept Amazon’s bulk-buy requests.
